November 11th: Crestwood students were privileged to meet with several veterans on Remembrance Day. This is a day that all Canadians honour and think about the many veterans who have made sacrifices for Canada during times of war. Crestwood is committed to making all veterans feel special. To show our gratitude to the Canadians who have served this country our students participated in a number of performance pieces and musical numbers that imaginatively captured the mood of the occasion.
One highlight of this year’s activities was a stirring discussion with Jim Parks – a WWII veteran who landed at JUNO beach on D-Day, June 6th, 1944. Mr. Parks shared a number of memories with staff, students and visitors and we are grateful to him and to all those who have served.
