The U12 Hockey and Basketball teams travelled to Montreal this past weekend to compete in the Lower Canada College Invitational Tournament. Ten basketball players along with eighteen hockey players climbed aboard our bus early Thursday morning in anticipation of meeting new friends, some healthy competition and lots of fun. The hockey started the tournament with a win on Thursday upon arrival and another victory early on Friday. They eventually lost their quarterfinal match 5-4 in a shootout against St. Anne from Montreal and finished up on Saturday with a loss to the host team LCC 2-1. The basketball team finished with a 3W-3L record and captured the Consolation Championship. Both teams played hard in all games and displayed superb sportsmanship in some intensely competitive contests. Congrats to all student/athletes involved and many thanks to the Crestwood School parents and community, who attended our games.
