Cold, wet, windy and grey. The day could not have been any less inviting for our trip to UCC. But we ventured across the city anyway to play our last game of the season. With 3 players missing the 11 Crestwood players took the field. In a battling first half, Crestwood fell behind 2 – 0. Our captain had to leave at halftime so 10 remaining players were left with a mountain to climb.
Mr. Greenacre was could not having been prouder of the way the boys stuck to the task. Cold wet and shivering they battled and battled through the horrendous conditions and were unfortunate that the referee did not see the obvious handball for a penalty that would have brought us back within a goal. Our goalkeeper had another great performance. The entire team gets an effort grade of 10 out of 10. Final Score Crestwood 0 – 3 UCC
This Saturday the boys play in the Championships at St. Andrew’s College. Let’s finish our season strong.
