Crestwood vs Bayview Glen – Semi-Final
The team started sharply and was moving the ball quickly with control and some excellent passing. This created ample scoring opportunities that were taken, firstly by Tao and then by Luke, giving Crestwood a 2-0 win. The boys were heading to the Championship game playing some of their best soccer of the year.
Crestwood vs Montcrest -Final
A nervous opening against an opponent that had triumphed over us during the season and a breakaway goal for Montcrest. Trailing one to nothing the boys from Crestwood had to step up their effort and get back to their principles and system of play. Captain Adam .P led the way back with two goals. Holding a slim lead William was introduced into the game. His impact was immediate as he struck home a cross to extend our advantage. With the win in sight Adam .J stole into the penalty box and drilled home a low shot. Final score Crestwood 4-1 Montcrest. Crestwood are the 2016 Champions.
Congratulations and a Big Thank you to all the Players and Parents. So many of you expressed your gratitude to me at the end of the Tournament and I would like to take the opportunity to Thank you all for a fantastic season. I would like to make a special mention to our photographer, Ms. Paquin. She has provided the Yearbook with a ton of special memories. And another special mention to our two captains, Adam P. and Dylan who were tremendous leaders both on and off the field.
