The U12 Co-Ed Hockey team started their season yesterday on the right note as they travelled to UCC to face their Grade 5 squad. The game was very entertaining with tons of chances at both ends throughout three periods. Crestwood broke through first with a tally from Grade 4 forward Jason Zhou who placed a perfect shot under the bar after being setup by Beckett Sennecke. UCC knotted the game shortly thereafter before the Cubs stormed ahead by two with goals from Zhou and another rookie forward, Grade 5 student Milo Tan. The opposition crept to within one before Sennecke broke through to seal the deal with a terrific individual effort. Goaltender Joshua Paquin was on the top of his game, making many superb saves throughout.
