The Grade 3’s had a visit from a team of builders from TRIDEL on Thursday. This hands-on presentation reviewed some facts that we have learned about structures: both people and animals build structures, and both people and animals need their structures to be strong and stable and to last a long time.
We looked at models of condos that are being built in Toronto and explored their strength and stability. The students also had the opportunity to try on some hardhats, steel toed boots, and safety harnesses. We resembled real builders and engineers. We are so grateful to Liam Hetherington’s mom, Andrea and her team of builders from Tridel for this learning opportunity.
