Dear Parents:
At Crestwood we are proud of the commitment we have made to Community Service in the
past. We are beginning the 2021-2022 school year with our annual Terry Fox Walk/Run, which
will take place during the day on WEDNESDAY, September 29th , 2021. Students should be in their House t-shirts, Crestwood gym shorts or track pants and running shoes for the walk/run.
All classes will participate with their teachers, Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Brenzel. A schedule will be created whereby class cohorts will run together. The goals of our Terry Fox Walk/Run are fun, fitness and fund raising for the Terry Fox
Foundation for Cancer Research. Last year we raised $7,739.00. Congratulations Crestwood School, we placed 15 th on the Top 50 Fundraiser of 2020 in the elementary division. Since 1995 we have raised $219,794.40 for Cancer research. This year we encourage students to fundraise online ONLY (no paper pledges):

Please join us and support this wonderful cause by donating to

-follow the prompts to complete your donation with a credit card
-once you make your payment you will be able to print out your receipt
We will continue collecting money until Friday, October 15th , 2021. Students must be
reminded that while collecting pledges is an important part of this activity, they should ask
family members and friends for a commitment. The amount of the pledge is not important; all
donations are meaningful.
Terry set goals every day. It’s great to see students follow in his footsteps and do their best to
reach their personal goals, whether it is to increase their endurance or speed while participating
in the run.
Due to current health concerns surrounding COVID19, we regret to inform parents and
guardians that this event is for our student body ONLY.
We look forward to our first school event held in a safe, socially distant manner.
Together, we can all make a difference!
Sincerely,
Sherri Brenzel
