Over the past 2 weeks Crestwood Students have been collecting donations for the Terry Fox Foundation, and today we saw the culmination of everyone’s fundraising efforts. Today was an extremely successful day for all Crestwood students participating in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. Following an assembly in the gym, all CPC students when out to watch a cross country race in the ravine. Over 55 students participated in the race which made for a great competition.
Winners of the race were;
Varsity Male – Matthew Yanovski
Varsity Female – Julia Lee
U14 Male – Ethan Li
U14 Female – Kyra Grossman & Kate Harding
Overall Team Winners – Senior Boys Soccer Team
After the race all CPC students and teachers walked united for one cause, putting an end to cancer. It was spectacular to see all of our students walking together, honoring Terry Fox and all those who have battled cancer.
More importantly, this event was a huge fundraising success. Together as a community, we raised $5965.00 to go towards this very noble cause. This is just shy of our fundraising goal so if you didn’t get a chance to donate and would still like to, you can donate online by clicking on the following link;
