Did you know that learning to read is a challenge for almost 40 percent of kids? The good news is every child CAN learn to read, including yours! Your child just needs tailored, structured support to match the way s/he learns best. The effects of falling behind and feeling like a failure can be devastating. Early intervention is crucial. If you suspect a problem, don’t hesitate to get your child the support s/he needs. As a reading specialist, I will work with you to figure out where there are gaps. Literacy has many components and using a diagnostic approach, I will determine where your child is struggling and create an individualized plan of support using the Orton Gillingham Approach.
