On Wednesday February 18th, the Jr Boys Basketball team hosted CDS in the regular season finale. Led by the hot shooting of Emre Desiru and the defensive presence of Mehmet Hocaouglu, the boys jumped out to an early lead. The second quarter was highlighted by improved play from Ted Kang and Matthew Gionnas, who came up with a number of big rebounds. The second half saw CDS draw level, but ultimately the Jr Boys team was able to pull away, thanks to some huge rebounds from Kabier Izzeldin and timely threes from David McCall. Congratulations to the Jr. Boys Basketball team on the completion of a great regular season. Let’s keep that momentum going for the playoffs!
The results are in from yesterday’s swim championships and Crestwood had an outstanding day!
Andrew Gdanski, Joseph Zuckerman, Elizabeth Keane and Dana Droubovsky all had personal best swims. Caiti Skain brought home three 2nd place finishes and will be swimming at OFSAA. She will be joined by Maddie Skain who finished the season undefeated in the 50 Fly and also came in 2nd and 3rd place in her other events. Congratulations to the entire varsity team!
