The Varsity Boys Softball team started the year in style, with an impressive 16-13 victory over Appleby College. The boys had an excellent effort all around, with timely hitting and effective defence. The attack was spearheaded by the timely hitting of Jonah Patel, David Hagon, and Andrew Edwards. Key to the offense was also the lightning speed of Tymon Weinstein, who was an absolute demon on the base paths.

The U14 Girls Soccer Team played host to the traveling Montcrest team on Monday afternoon. After a pretty uninspiring start to the game, which saw Crestwood go down 1-0 after conceding a penalty shot, our girls tied up the affair at 1-1 on the strength of some determined pressing by Sydney Tytel and Angelina Audette. With minutes to play in the first half, Angelina tied the game with a shot inside the box from a sharp angle. The second goal saw the two teams trade chances, with neither team truly threatening the other’s goal.Crestwood ended the game with a fair tie, and extended their unbeaten streak to 2 wins, I tie and 0 losses. The team has two practices this week before it ends its regular season, next week against Trafalgar. Go CPC!
