The halls of Crestwood were filled with Spirit this week!! Five days of themed grub days and staff versus student challenges made for a fun and lively week at Crestwood. Whether playing basketball, soccer, volleyball or floor hockey the competition between teachers and students was alive and well. The students also took on their teachers in a trivia challenge game, Reach for the Top.
Both our Senior Boys Basketball team and our Senior Girls Volleyball team also had the honour of playing in front of the school, while our amazing Parent’s Association supplied the student body with popcorn and donuts.
Today was the culmination of our spirit week and we ended it off with an amazing spirit assembly where grades battled one another it challenges such as Powder Balloons; Eat It or Wear It, Survivor Blindfold Challenge and Tug of War. The Grade 12’s came out victorious and will receive a pizza lunch later next month!
Not only was this week filled with fun but it was also for a good cause. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales, spirit wear sales and Krispy Kreme donut sales when to the LivWise Foundation. The LivWise Foundation was created in honour of the late Olivia Wise, a grade 10 student who lost her battle with brain cancer in 2013.
We would like to thank the Carter family for donating a set of Leaf’s tickets for this great cause. We would also like to thank our Parent’s Association for supporting Spirit Week every year. Lastly, a big shout out to our amazing Athletic Council for organizing a fun-filled week which everyone enjoyed.
Come see photos and even more photos!!
