The U12 Hockey and Basketball teams traveled to Sterling Hall yesterday for a showdown with the Sharks. The hockey team fell behind early but continued to battle back eventually pulling to within one goal with 2 minutes left in a shortened third frame. With the goalie pulled for an extra attacker Crestwood were unable to find the equalizer and lost the game 4-3. It was an exciting and fun game for both teams.
The basketball team played a seesaw affair against the Sterling Hall Sharks yesterday. The boys traded baskets back and forth leading to a fourth quarter where the defence was deft and the baskets were few. Although time outs were called, plays charted and executed, in the end the ball just wouldn’t fall through the hoop for our boys. Adam, Tao, Jievan, Daniel, Kieran, Tom, Eason, Ryan, Avi and Zach played a great game and experienced a team bonding bus ride back to Crestwood on a snowy, snowy night. Coach Conn and Brenzel were both unavailable for post-game comment but when approached today said they were proud of the team’s effort and are looking forward to their next game on Monday vs Crescent.
