Volleyball
The Jr. Boys’ Volleyball team traveled to Bayview Glen Wednesday where they lost in close games 25-19, 25-22 and then ultimately ran out of energy in the third losing 25-11. The boys had great team spirit and showed improvement in positioning. With a little more practice and perseverance, coaches Wappel and Hann believe a victory is just around the corner.
The Senior Boys’ Volleyball Team secured their first victory of the season at Albert College last night. Shout out to our star setter Rachael Pape and outstanding libero Sunny Liu for making great plays. Great work, team.

Soccer
Thursday, the U14 Boys’ Soccer Team battled in a close match vs. Greenwood. The boys played with great determination to win the game 2-1. Both of Crestwood’s goals came from Adam Pearlman. A special shout out goes to our goalie Samir Bagher Nejad for his excellent saves. Mrs.O’Connor and Mr. Koaich were pleased with the team.
On a cold and rainy Wednesday afternoon, the Junior Boys’ Soccer Team faced off against the first place team from Lakefield. It was a very evenly fought battle as the two teams exchanged goals. With the game tied 2-2 and only 5 minutes left, Lakefield earned a free kick just outside the 18 yard box. An incredible shot put Lakefield up 3-2, but our boys did not quit. We created multiple opportunities in the dying minutes, but we just could not find the finishing touch and lost the game 3-2. Crestwood goals were scored by Alex Korda and Dustin Silverberg. Crestwood will face off against Bayview Glen next Wednesday.
Basketball
The U14 Lady Lions traveled to CDS Wednesday afternoon to play a very strong and deep team. Crestwood was able to get a lead but CDS chipped away that lead, tying the game up late into the 4th quarter. With a few missed opportunities by the Lady Lions, CDS was able to take the led and secure a 31-29 victory, giving Crestwood their first loss of the season. Great work by all, with special mention going out to Saleah Joseph for her leadership and grit on the court and Ella Lee-O’Rourke for rebounding, both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
The Junior Girls’ Basketball Team dominated the court Tuesday in their home game against Ridley College with a 63 – 34 win. Everyone on the team worked well together, and special mention goes to Kayla Drummond and Zakayla Day-Burrell for great sportsmanship and excellent leadership!
Wednesday our Sr. Girls’ Basketball Team took on a very good St. Clements’ team. Our Lions got off to a quick start and never looked back. The final score was CPC 67- St. Clements 48.
