This week the Junior Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes had a visit with Canadian author Sangeeta Bhadra. She is nominated for a Blue Spruce award for her book Sam’s Pet Temper, which addresses temper tantrums in a humorous, yet constructive manner. Sangeeta told the children that she was inspired to be an author when Robert Munsch visited her Toronto school when she was a child, and she hopes that her visits to schools may do the same for another future author. The children also completed a drawing activity in which they illustrated what their “pet temper” would look like. Please be sure to ask your child to tell you about the visit and to show you the drawing of their pet temper!
