Mateo Rocha fired a breakaway goal past the Toronto French School keeper to complete a comeback by the Crestwood Cougars U13 soccer squad and earn them a 2-2 tie. The TFS squad took an early lead as Crestwood battled to gain comfort on the artificial field and windy conditions. TFS grabbed a two goal lead on a pretty header off a long corner. After a brief halftime talk and a switch to the other side of the pitch the Cubs came out firing on all cylinders. Adam Pearlman got us on the board. Aidan Takes used some quick thinking on his throw-in that led Pearlman into good scoring position and he made no mistake burying his shot top shelf. Ten minutes later Rocha was away to the races on a breakaway that would bring the two squads even. After multiple chances on both ends the contest finished a 2-2 draw. Great job team.
