As part of our Character Education initiative, April was Kindness Month here at CPC! To help promote and encourage our students to show kindness, all homeroom classes played KINDO. Each homeroom class had a kindness themed bingo card, filled with random acts of kindness that could be completed around the school and community. Some of these tasks were as simple as thanking a teacher after a class, letting someone ahead of you in the cafeteria line, or giving your seat to someone on the TTC. The students participated all month, learning by experience that by doing a kind act for someone else, they were simultaneously increasing that person’s happiness, as well as their own! It is our hope that the lessons learned this month will stay with our students so that kindness will continue to spread throughout our community.
