Dear Parents,
We cannot believe that we have already been back at school for 8 weeks and this was probably the most anticipated and exciting week so far! Why? HALLOWEEN of course! Not even COVID could keep us from celebrating this fun day! Everyone gåot into the spirit and it was amazing to see all the incredible costumes worn by both students and staff! There were princesses, princes, knights, skeletons, pumpkins, cats and bats, witches and goblins, dancers and singers, and so much more.
A HUGE thank you to Mr. Cooper and the amazing House Heads for organizing a spook-tacular day at school. Here are some of the socially distanced activities that took place today:
Costume parade, dance party, door decoration competition, pumpkin carving, and celebrations in each individual classes Other activities on Edsby were: Draw a Monster (descriptive drawing game), Halloween Pictionary and a Halloween Kahoot. Thank you to all the parents for sending in treats and decorations to help us have fun with the students.
We want to remind everyone to celebrate Halloween safely, by following recommendations from Toronto Public Health. We hope everyone finds new and creative ways to enjoy their family’s festivities.
Next week marks the beginning of November, and also the start of our Movember campaign. The community service team will be coordinating a fundraiser in support of cancer research and a big thank you goes out to our male staff members who have agreed to grow mustaches for the month of November. Photo updates to come!
Happy Halloween everyone! Looking forward to a fabulous November together!
