Dear Parents,
Happy October! We can’t believe we have made it through the first month of school! We are so proud of the progress students have made in such a short period of time. This week was jam packed with Toonie Tuesday and Pizza lunch, the Terry Fox Run, Orange Shirt Day, our Primary and Junior Curriculum Nights, and House Colour Day! While we couldn’t all be together in person for these events, we are so glad we could still hold modified versions of these September traditions.
Thank you to Ms. Brenzel and Mr. Cooper for organizing and leading each of the classes through their Terry Fox Run. We were so proud of the students for their perseverance throughout the run. For Orange Shirt Day, students learned about the history of residential schools in Canada, and discussed the importance of school being a place where students feel safe, comfortable and cared for.
Finally, thank you to all the teachers for your hard work in putting together your Curriculum Night presentations. Parents, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to learn more about your child’s program this year.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and looking forward to another week of growth and learning at school!
