Dear Parents,
The first week of May brought us lots to be excited about! Our week was capped off with a fun themed spirit day. We loved seeing all the creativity and enthusiasm each class brought to their chosen theme. Way to go!
As we settle into remote learning, we continue to find ways to engage students both during and after classes. Thank you to all the teachers who volunteered to run an after school virtual club. Students had the opportunity to draw, cook, experiment and spend some informal time with teachers and friends. Please look on Edsby again next week to see the updated list of activities. Once again, students do not need to register, they can just click on the desired zoom link at the designated time.
Thank you to Ms. Bafaro for organising another inspiring author visit for Grade 3-6 students. Please take a look at our student review of Lisa Graff’s author visit in the newsletter.
A HUGE thank you to Mr. Cooper and the househeads for all their hard work planning both live and asynchronous challenges for our students to complete on Edsby. Make sure to watch the Crestwood News posted on Edsby to stay “in the know” about all the opportunities for some fun games and challenges.
Looking ahead to next week, on Wednesday, we will be having a school wide virtual assembly to kick off our Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. We look forward to sharing this exciting initiative with the students.
Finally, to all the mothers celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend, we hope you get pampered by your loved ones and have some VERY well deserved relaxation! Thank you for all you do to support our students and us!!! Please remember to follow all public health guidelines when celebrating this weekend, and only socialize with the members of your household. While it’s so hard to stay apart on special occasions such as these, it is important to remain diligent as we continue to fight to stop the spread.
Have a wonderful weekend!
