Dear Parents,
Welcome back and we hope you and your children had a much-needed restful and relaxing Spring Break. While we were disappointed to learn we could not return to in-person learning this week, we were excited to welcome the students back to Virtual School and it was so nice to see everyone’s smiling faces again. We are hopeful this time around it is easier to get outside and enjoy the outdoors in between classes!
We want to thank the teachers (again) for their immense efforts in organizing and planning for online learning. We also want to thank you, the parents, for supporting your children throughout virtual school. We know how difficult it is to juggle work life, home life and school life. Thank you for your patience and support; it is much appreciated!
In the Primary Division, we celebrated Earth Week this week where we were once again reminded of how lucky we are to live on such a beautiful planet and became mindful of how we can help save the earth. The smallest action made by each and every one of us amounts to a big step in the right direction.
In the Junior Division, we are looking at various aspects of mental health, and how we can stay mentally and emotionally healthy during these trying times. Fill Up with Ms. Fuller sessions have returned, and we are looking at the importance of goal setting and visualization to stay motivated and focused.
Please look out for our virtual clubs available for students next week. The club descriptions will be available on Edsby, as well as in this newsletter. No registration is required, students can just click on the zoom link for their club and join the fun! Thanks to all the teachers who volunteered to run a club!
While we hope we could return to in person learning soon, we know our students will continue to rise to the challenge and continue showing their best selves in their virtual classrooms. We wish you all a safe and wonderful weekend!
