Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to report the students came back from the long weekend feeling refreshed and ready to learn! Despite the lost hour of sleep on Sunday, we had a great week of growing and learning.
We had our 1st ever St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Wednesday! It was a blast seeing the students dressed in green, with lots of cool Irish accessories, from green ties, to sparkly hats and bows. Thanks for showing your Irish spirit!
Students in the Junior Division have embarked on a number of exciting projects. We’ve been lucky enough to have our hallways decorated with beautiful and informative posters about influential African musicians as well as a variety of famous artists from around the world. Some of our Grade 6 students have been creating “egg drop aircrafts”, exploring different materials and how they would protect precious cargo. It’s so great to see students learning through inquiry, exploration and research. Keep up the great work!
We want to remind you all to please be diligent in following all public health guidelines over the weekend. It is so important that we all make responsible decisions with our families, so we can keep our Crestwood Community safe at school. As well, just a friendly reminder to please complete your Edusafe screening each morning with your child before dropping them off at school. This helps us to make our entry procedure safe and efficient. If you have any issues with your Edusafe app, please contact Mr. Connors at luke.connors@ohp.crestwood.on.ca.
Looking ahead to next week, we have pizza lunch and Toonie Tuesday, along with a house colour day on Friday. Wishing you all a restful weekend. We hope you enjoy the beautiful weather as we welcome Spring!!
