Dear Parents,
Congratulations on completing the second week of online learning! We hope families have started to settle into a routine, and that students are adjusting to this virtual environment (again). We know how challenging remote learning can be, and we are so proud of our students for trying to make the best of a difficult situation.
Here are a few tips to help make remote learning more successful:
- Try to get out for a morning walk. Even if it means rushing out of the house in the morning so you’re back in time for 9 AM, the fresh air and physical activity can really help your day start on the right foot!
- Make sure your child’s workspace is free of as many distractions as possible. A reminder that students should not have any devices nearby, other than the one they are using for their classes.
- During breaks from class, encourage your child to step away from his/her computer and workspace. If possible, try to get some physical activity and/or fresh air; jumping jacks in the backyard, a dance party or some yoga and stretching are all good ways to break up the extensive screen time.
Make sure to check out Edsby next week for some special events and challenges that will be run by our House Heads. Thank you to Mr. Cooper and the House Heads for their time and effort spent planning engaging activities for our students!
Wishing you all a safe and relaxing weekend!
