Share Your Smiles
You’re Never Too Young To Make A Difference
Who We Are:
Share Your Smiles is an organization started by two Grade 6 students, Maya Kassam and Olivia Sherman, in 2020. We realized how big of a problem homelessness is in Toronto and we wanted to find a way to help. We create care-kits for homeless people all across Toronto. When you buy a care basket or make a donation, you are making someone’s day and spreading one of your many smiles.
Shelter We Have Chosen to Support:
For the Crestwood October Community Service Project, Share Your Smiles has chosen to support the Anduhyaun Native Women and Children’s Shelter: www.anduhyaun.org
The Anduhyaun Shelter is an important shelter that supports Indigenous women and children by trying to maintain their cultural identity, self-esteem, and economic, physical and spiritual well-being. Anduhyaun means “Our Home” in the Ojibwe language and that’s exactly what they do: they supply a home for women and children in need.
How To Donate:
There are two main ways to donate to Share Your Smiles in support of the Anduhyaun Shelter.
(1) Make a donation at www.shareyoursmiles.org. Then in the comments, please write that you are from Crestwood so we know.
(2) The second way (only during October **dates**) is you can donate items from the list below by bringing them to school. They will be collected from your classrooms and made into gift baskets for the shelter
