Loc Le

Loc Le spent his early life in Vietnam, growing up as the war raged around him and his family.  He recalls that he was not too impacted by the war in the early years, but with 1968 and the Tet Offensive, he and his family were on the move, staying ahead of the NVA and the type of massacres that occurred in Hue.  They made the decision to leave, boarding the ships of the US 7th Fleet and heading to Subic Bay in the Philippines before going to Camp Pendleton in San Diego.  During this time Loc Le continued his schooling and learned English.  The family made the decision to go to Canada, and they chose to settle in Calgary.  He continued his schooling and improved his fluency, choosing to go to college, and then university.  Loc Le opted for grad school, and was ready to be professor before Ontario Hydro attracted his attention.
