The Crestwood community “brought the love” again this week for Gilo, Thomas, and Toni, our sponsored students in Tanzania. On Valentine’s Day, Crestwood students contributed toonies to don their red, white, and pink clothes for the day.  We raised $387 in support of our sponsorship initiative. Way to go! Candy-Gram Valentine’s Day with YAARD

Crestwood’s YARRD (Youth against Racial and Religious Discrimination) held its annual Valentine’s Day Candy-Gram Toonie Grub Day.  All week long students have been hard at work preparing for the event, buying, selling, and making Candy-Grams, which were delivered Wednesday in homeroom.  Proceeds will go to support Native Child, maintaining Crestwood’s commitment to reconciliation.

Crestwood’s Chinese New Year

Last Friday, February 9th the Crestwood Community came together to celebrate the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year. Students, parents and teachers gathered together to eat, celebrate and welcome the “year of the dog”. Crestwood students left no sofa cushion unturned this past week in their quest to gather stray coins to contribute to our Be the Change classroom challenge. Community Service students diligently collected, sorted, tallied, and rolled the tsunami of coins generously donated by students and their families. We collected an incredible $4414.76 that we will use to
