March is National Nutrition Month and to celebrate we have created an educational health and wellness campaign “Fuel Up with Smart Sugars”. For the month of March posters have been displayed to educate students on types of sugars that are good for you and which ones to limit in their diet. On Wednesday March 25th a dietetic intern from Aramark held an interactive nutrition booth to engage the students of Crestwood. The students were provided with a visual of the amount of refined sugar in commonly consumed beverages and snacks, along with recipe cards and healthy samples of edamame hummus and chocolate lentil fudge.
