Soul on Ice is a documentary that tells the story of the contributions of black people to the game of ice hockey. Written and produced by Damon Kwame Mason the documentary features hockey legends Wayne Simmonds, Joel Ward, Trevor Daley, Mike Marson, Tony McKegney and five-time NHL Stanley Cup Winner Grant Fuhr. But this documentary also features an interview with Crestwood’s Nathaniel Adams, a grade 9 student and a member of the Crestwood Hockey team.
As a part of Black History Month and Hockey Day in Canada Nate will be featured on Feb. 13 at 6:00pm on CBC. The documentary will be aired on Feb. 19th on Sportsnet at 7:00pm followed by an interview with Ron MacLean and Nate.
