Every year during the first week of February, Grade 8 and 9 Geography students research a country from all different parts of the world. The students learn about how this country and their people have helped to impact our Canadian society and how to make some of that country’s most delicious foods. This year on February 6th during junior and senior lunch, the students will be selling some of these great foods. Each student will make either an appetizer, main dish or a dessert native to the country they have studied. Students will also dress up in Native attire and become experts on their country’s food, traditions and culture. All money raised on this day, goes towards helping to sponsor our three foster children- two girls from Africa and a boy from Ecuador. This event is always one that both the students and teachers look forward to.
