Meet the Teacher: Jennifer Williamson
Subject: Geography and History
Grades: 7 and 8
Ms. Williamson grew up in Mississauga with her parents, one brother and two sisters. She is married with one son, Landyn, who is 6 years old.
In her spare time, Jennifer likes to watch movies and take additional qualification courses. She loves spending time with her son going to his skating and swimming lessons and playing video games. She likes spending time outdoors camping and hiking. She also really loves animals and grew up always having a dog or cats in the family. She does equestrian and loves to ride horses.
Ms. Williamson was inspired by her own teachers and has always been interested in Special Education and Developmental Psychology. She has always loved school and learning and likes to keep up to date on current teaching strategies and ideologies. She has taken her Teacher Leadership Qualification, Special Education Specialist, Reading Specialist and ESL Part 1 courses.
Jennifer finds it hard to believe she has been at Crestwood for 4 years already.
She has had fun being involved in school wide events like Spirit Week and other teacher vs. student competitions. She likes to encourage students to get involved in homeroom challenges and fundraising for important causes.
Ms. Williamson has many secret talents. She plays music, likes to draw and enjoys singing and helping with the school play. Jennifer played to saxophone in her high school band!
