Meet the Teacher: Tracy Santomero
Subject: Mathematics
Grades: 10 and 11
Mrs. Santomero grew up in Picton, Ontario and has an amazing husband and daughter. Her daughter, Sophia, is 12 years old and is in the sixth grade. Sophia is a competitive dancer who loves school and her friends.
Being a dance mom, Tracy doesn’t have a lot of spare time. This is her daughter’s sixth year of dancing at the competitive level. Every time she is in a competition, she has 16 different dances to perform in all genres including ballet, jazz, acro, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary.
Tracy has always loved working with kids and has been a teacher for over 30 years. She met Mr. Santomero at their last school. She was the Head of Mathematics and he was a math teacher, so she was his boss. Now that they are both at Crestwood.
From when she was quite young, until her first year of university, Mrs. Santomero was a majorette (baton twirler)! This will come in handy for our next parade.
