Junior Girls’ Basketball Team
Last Saturday our Junior Girls’ Basketball Team hosted the Division 1 Final Four playoffs. In the first semi-final of the day, it was our Crestwood Lady Lions playing against Ridley College. The team got off to a fast start and never looked back playing a great game all around on both ends of the floor beating Ridley 52-28. The final game was Havergal versus Crestwood. The girls played extremely well and exemplified the true nature of teamwork and sportsmanship. For the second year in a row, the Junior Girls’ Basketball Team are Division 1 Champions capping off an undefeated season with a big win over Havergal. Coaches Dickinson and Pagano are extremely proud of the girls- Tianna Bailey, Jadaia Reid, Zakayla Day Burrell, Kayla Drummond, Emily Glass, Rachel Mintz, Megan Pearlman, and Sophia Ren. Congratulations on an excellent season.
Senior Girls’ Basketball Team
Tuesday our Senior Girls’ Basketball Team remained undefeated and were named champions!!! After rolling through Trinity College the Lady Lions faced off against a tough Villanova team and fans that fill our gym. It was a close game early, until the Lions picked up the pace and went up 20, the final score was 76-34 Crestwood. This year’s championship team was comprised of Areej Burgonio, Winnette Walter, Georgia Gardner, Vanessa He, Iris Ma, Faith Joseph, Shayeann Day-Wilson, and Latasha Lattimore. And a special thank you to Tuesday’s game MVP; our Senior Boys’ Basketball Team. Your energy was contagious and your signs were amazing!!!
