Crestwood School and Crestwood Preparatory combined forces to take on Blyth Academy in some exciting exhibition hockey games at Scotiabank Pond this past Wednesday. Players from Grade 5, 6, 7 and 8 were invited to participate and we created two equal teams to take part in three games. Our final game was fantastic as the two Crestwood squads battled to a 7-7 tie. It was a beautiful sight to see the lower and upper school players working together and having fun on the ice, dancing, singing, skating and scoring with – and against – each other. The camaraderie, teamwork and displays of skill between the two schools on Tuesday is a great indication of the things to come in Crestwood hockey! We would like to thank Principal Adam Hurley and the Blyth Academy for their hospitality (including a delicious lunch) and all of our participating players and supporting parents.
Special thanks to Lee Grunberg and Joe DiIulio for you help.
