Last week, the Grade 8’s travelled to Ottawa for a three day trip full of fun, learning, and adventure. We got to explore our nation’s capital by foot, bus and bike as our students learned about Canada’s rich history.
We visited the Canadian War Museum where students were able to make connections to what they are studying in History class. We also had the privilege of experiencing the food, dance and customs of Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples. Students toured outside the Parliament Building and saw where our federal government operates. There was also no shortage of adventure, as we faced our fears exploring caves down below and ropes courses up above!
It was a wonderful experience for the Grade 8’s and their teachers to visit Ottawa. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the trip!
