Recently, the Grade 7 Science students completed the Crestwood Bridge Building Challenge. After becoming familiar with concepts relating to the form and function of various structures, as well as the forces that may be acting on them, the young engineers had an opportunity to apply their knowledge and understanding of the material. This year, Ms. Mylvaganam, Mr. Rachlis and Mr. Walker were very impressed with the designing, constructing and testing of bridge models made of popsicle sticks and carpenter’s glue, and it was evident the students had a lot of fun with this hands on learning experience.
