On Wednesday, March 30th, students enrolled in Grade 12 Law traveled downtown for Crestwood’s annual “Law in Action” field trip.
In the morning, the students visited the Ontario Court of Appeal at Osgoode Hall, as well the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. While at the courts, they were able to sit in on many fascinating legal trials, each of which gave the students a first-hand impression of how the law plays out in real live court settings.
In the afternoon, the students headed up University Ave. to visit the Ontario Legislature at Queen’s Park. While there, the students were given a tour of the facilities, and participated in an interactive activity where they discussed the important role of Parliament as a law-making institution.
Overall, the trip was a great success, as well as an exciting learning experience that helped to enrich the traditional classroom experience.
