At the end of April, 29 biology students and 3 teachers made the long 17 hour bus ride to St. Andrews, New Brunswick. The purpose of their trip was to be able to study the effect of tides on the life living in the Bay of Fundy. For 4 days, students collected samples, analyzed their findings, and presented their conclusions. This was an eye-opening adventure for most students, as they were forced to deal with the elements (cold, wind, and rain) and fatigue in order to conduct real scientific investigations. It was amazing seeing students bond with each other through this shared experience and hopefully has left them with numerous memories that will last forever.
