The grade 7 field trip yesterday was a memorable experience at the Tiff Bell Lightbox. The grade 7 class was the first to make a documentary at TIFF. Brent who has been making documentaries for 15 years assisted us and we were honoured to have him help us make our documentary. There were 4 groups that tried to find a suitable topic for the documentary. After a long vote the technology topic was chosen. There were 6 grade 7’s who volunteered to appear on camera and 11 students who managed the set. Tim Kufner and Gretchen Lerman interviewed Lorenzo Mancini, Sean Zelman, Christopher Grieves and Aaron Vidal-Ribas Smith about their experiences with technology. Everyone had a chance to be behind the camera. These jobs were the boom, sound, camera, slate and assistant director. After we were done making the documentary, we recorded snippets of all the grade 7’s for the credits. This was an amazing field trip at Tiff Bell Lightbox. We are currently waiting for the completely edited film.
