On Wednesday and Thursday, the Grade 6’s took part in a great Scientists in School session all about electricity. Students explored static and current electricity, built series and parallel circuits, tested conductors and insulators, explored electromagnets, simple motors, and used their own energy to power a generator. With Scientist Peter’s guidance, students were able to apply the concepts being taught in class to these hands-on experiments. Next term, the Grade 6’s will move into an exploration of flight.
