Biography: After graduating, in addition to completing Special Education Additional Qualifications, I pursued a post-graduate program in Applied Behavioural Analysis, working towards certification as a Board Certified Behavioural Analyst (BCBA). This involved 3 years of in-school experience working with young people, their families and their school communities to develop programs based in behavioural science to enable student’s learning and successful social functioning in varying environments. I have supported learners inside and outside of the classroom, including work as a private and in-school therapist, a basketball coach and leading debate teams. Previously, I had the pleasure of working with students at the Dr. Erik Jackman Institute of Child Study and Upper Canada College. I am currently a volunteer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, supporting youth and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am passionate about continuously learning about my students and discovering ways in which I can enable them to be successful. When I’m not teaching, I’m either out for an espresso, watching Seinfeld reruns, or online shopping.
