I am the current grade 3 & 4 French teacher at Crestwood School and I am very happy to be a part of this community. I completed my undergrad at Concordia University, where I studied Modern Languages and Education. After graduating from Concordia University, I moved to Japan to teach English. Since I wasn’t sure if teaching was the right profession for me, I decided to embark on this adventure and after 2 years I decided that the classroom was where I wanted to be. When I got back from Japan, I applied to The School of Education at Trent University to complete teacher’s college and get my certification. The program provided me with a multitude of teaching placements and volunteer opportunities. During this time, I worked privately with adults teaching ESL as well as FSL. After graduating, I completed my FSL1 Additional Qualification. Last year, I worked at Crestwood Upper School teaching French to grades 9 & 10. While there, I was involved in the peer tutoring club and coaching the junior girls and senior boys basketball teams. Prior to that I was at De La Salle College and taught grade 6, 9, 11 & 12. I was also actively involved in after school activities such as basketball cross country and track and field. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, watch movies and spend time with family and friends.
