Hi everyone! I joined Crestwood this September and I am currently teaching 6C! I graduated from the Master of Arts in Child Study and Education Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Additionally, I am a qualified Special Education teacher and hold my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology. I fell in love with teaching during my high school co-op placement at a local elementary school. Since then, I have taken on a variety of roles within the Education field. Throughout University, I worked as an Educational Assistant. After completing my MA, I took on various teaching roles at a private school including Homeroom Teacher (Gr. 1-4 & ⅞), Visual Arts Teacher (Grade 1-8), and Director of Student Success. In the classroom, I am passionate about helping my students develop their organizational skills, mental wellness toolbox, and research skills. I believe in capitalizing on student interest to foster learning environments that promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Crestwood Community and look forward to learning together!
