A huge congratulation to Kian Torabi Ardakani, ’22, for winning 3rd prize in this year’s InCITE Writing Competition for his short story “One of the 176”!
The late Toni Morrison once said, “if there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” This year’s competition asked CIS students to consider this quotation as a starting point: what would your story look like?
Kian’s story is a remarkable work of creativity. In it, he innovatively mixes genres and tells the story of a young boy grappling with loss and memory. We are excited to reprint his story for your enjoyment. Congrats, Kian!
