A special congratulations goes out to Grade 9 student Spencer Arshinoff, who was invited to attend a writer’s workshop at a conference on April 11th, at Hillfield Strathallen College in Hamilton. Spencer’s work was submitted to the competition, where the focus was “Make Us Laugh.” Renowned Canadian author Terry Fallis read the numerous submissions, and selected Spencer’s to win the top prize for the Grade 9 and 10 level. Spencer attended the CITE conference and read his prize-winning submission to a large group of English teachers and published authors. Congratulations to Spencer and all students whose work has contributed to the publication!
You can read Spencer’s winning submission in the most recent edition of The Crestword!
