Candy-Gram Valentine’s Day with YAARD
Crestwood’s YARRD (Youth against Racial and Religious Discrimination) held its annual Valentine’s Day Candy-Gram Toonie Grub Day. All week long students have been hard at work preparing for the event, buying, selling, and making Candy-Grams, which were delivered Wednesday in homeroom. Proceeds will go to support Native Child, maintaining Crestwood’s commitment to reconciliation.

Last Friday, February 9th the Crestwood Community came together to celebrate the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year. Students, parents and teachers gathered together to eat, celebrate and welcome the “year of the dog”. The Kids Lit Quiz Competition
On Monday, Mr. Jull led a group of Grade 7 and 8 students to the Mattamy Athletic Centre at Ryerson University to participate in the Toronto Regional Heat of the Kids Lit Quiz competition. This is an international contest where teams of elementary-aged students answer questions from the genres of classical and contemporary children’s literature.
