Course Selection

Course Selection for the 2016-2017 school year will begin next week. Starting Monday January 11th, Ms. Hann will be visiting Grade 8 through 11 English classes to review diploma requirements and discuss the course selection process.  This year, course registration will be done online through Career Cruising for all students in Grades 9-11. Course Drop Deadline

The last day to drop a course is Friday January 15th.  Only Grade 12 students currently taking 7 or more classes and Grade 11 students taking 8 classes are eligible to drop a course. Please see Ms. Hann in the guidance office before Friday if you are considering dropping a course. Signed course drop sheets must be submitted

Hour of Code

This week was Computer Science Education Week! Crestwood students were challenged to participate in a number of coding activities done online through the hour of code website. This site has lots of different activities related to programming and is for students of all ages! Even though the week is over, the hour of code website has new coding activities going up year round. U14 Volleyball

The U14 Girls Volleyball team had 3 games this week! On Monday, the girls traveled to Montcrest for their first game of the season. This week the Senior Girls’ Volleyball team took on Trafalgar Castle. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts they weren’t able to overcome the strong offence that Trafalgar attacked them with, losing 25-21, 25-13, and 25-19. Highlights of the match included phenomenal serving by Marina Morris and Rachael Pape who had a handful of aces each, and

U14 Hockey

The U-14 Hockey Team travelled to Rinx early this week to face off against TFS.  The Lions came out flying and never looked back. Alexa Gibson notched her first shut out of the season and Jacob Hanning, Jordan Seigel, Aidan Kay, James Gilday, Aaron Little and Cole Eichler all had multi-point games. Great play by all

U14 Basketball

The U14 Boys Basketball travelled to Montcrest this week. The Lions started off hot, outplaying the Mustangs. The first quarter ended 18 – 5. Montcrest made a few attempts to close the gap, but CPC continually shut them out. CPC’s defensive plays were outstanding, limiting the opponents to just 4 points in the 3rd quarter.

Junior Basketball

This week the Junior Boys Basketball team travelled to TMS for their first away game of the season. While the first quarter was a bit of a struggle, the team ultimately prevailed by a score of 52-33. Crestwood’s beginner and novice curlers headed to Toronto Cricket Club for the CISAA’s annual funspiel. Two teams represented Crestwood in the 12 team field. Last weekend the Crestwood Jr. Robotics team travelled to Mary Ward Catholic High School to compete against 12 other schools.  After a morning of great practice rounds, completing numerous missions, and tallying some great points, the Lions went into the competition matches. Unfortunately, due to some unlucky runs Crestwood placed under the qualifying ranks for provincials
