The students in Madame Gurney’s grades 1 and 2 classes are commencing their final units of the year on food. This past Monday, in order to learn all about French cuisine, 27 students put down their pencils and put on their chef aprons as they joined Madame for the first class of the French cooking club. Students made amazing Eiffel towers out of fruit by using bananas, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. Some even showed off their creativity by adding marshmallows or icing for clouds and chocolate chips for dirt. They were absolutely magnifique!
If any students in grades one and two would like to join upcoming sessions, the French cooking club meets virtually every Monday at 4:30.
