Crestwood was proud to welcome Deputy Mayor Michael Thompson to the school Thursday as part of our recognition and celebration of Black History Month. Mr. Thompson shared stories of his emigration to Canada and early years in Toronto, highlighting his decision to get involved in politics. He also touched on the stories of the many Black Canadians that we now celebrate, reminding us that history can be a powerful force in the creation of a pride in Toronto and Canada in which we can all share.
