The Crestwood School Badminton Team participated in two separate tournaments this past week. On Wednesday Josh Deng, Grace Geng, and Eric Zhang competed in Round 1 of the SSAF Elementary Badminton Tournament. Grace and Eric partnered to take on Bond Academy and North Toronto Prep in the Mixed Doubles category. While Grace and Eric demonstrated excellent skills and sportsmanship, they were defeated during the consolation round. Josh Deng, participated in the boy’s singles category and was undefeated in eight challenging matches. Josh brought his ‘A’ game to the court and utilized strategies that kept his opponents on their toes. Josh was awarded first place for his category and we are thrilled to announce he has qualified to compete in Round 2 of the tournament in May. On Thursday our team was back at it and faired very well overall (results below). Congratulations to all the students who participated. Ms. Green, Ms. Alviano and Ms. Brenzel could not have been prouder of our team’s enthusiasm, incredible efforts and good sportsmanship. It was a very exciting couple of days for al!
