This week the grade 5 and 6 classes had the privilege of attending a virtual author visit with Kathy Kacer. Kathy Kacer is a Canadian award-winning author of over 20 historical fiction and nonfiction books for children and young adults. Before the extended break we had been enjoying her books in library class and were really looking forward to meeting Kathy and perhaps even buying some of her books. Thankfully, we still got to “meet” her and hear about her writing process as well as her sources of inspiration. Sadly, the students didn’t get to buy any of her books. Please have a look at her website with your child and find a book that you can borrow from the public library or perhaps purchase. I guarantee adults will enjoy her books as much as children!
